We are open to membership for Hourly, Salaried, and Agency employees worldwide. We have active chapters in the U.S. (Southeast Michigan; Tampa, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; Irving, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky), United Kingdom, Germany, and Belgium. To become a member, please follow the instructions below. If you are interested in starting a local chapter in your area, please contact us.

We also have an online discussion group on the public internet, which is an option for all members to participate in. This online group is called the Ford GLOBE Network. You will receive info on how to enroll in that when you become a member of Ford GLOBE.

How to apply for membership

Enrolling from Home Use this method to enroll with a home or work email address. Fill out a Membership Form online. If you don't have a Ford email address, you can also print a copy of that form and mail it in along with your proof of eligibility.

Enrolling from Work Simply send an email note from your Ford email account to Rob Matras (rmatras) and include the following info: the chapter you wish to join member type: voting (pay dues) or non-voting (free) Visit the chapter home page, to find the postal address for mailing in optional dues. Write "Dues" on your check. If you wish to receive email using your home email address, you must enroll from home.

Eligibility Verification

Each enrollment request will be verified, to ensure that you are eligible to join GLOBE. There are two ways for you to prove eligibility:

1. Ford Email Address Verification All active Ford employees have a Corporate Directory System ID (CDSID). If you have a Ford email address, it will begin with your CDSID. You can use that email account to prove that you are eligible to join GLOBE. This method is quick and easy. When you enroll, supply your preferred email address (home or work), along with your Ford CDSID. We will send an email registration note to your preferred email address. Then you can forward that note to our membership coordinator, from your Ford address. If you enrolled using your home email address, you must forward your registration note to your Ford address first, and then forward that to the GLOBE membership coordinator. Onsite Contractors at Ford must use their CDSID to verify eligibility.

2. Postal Mail Verification If you don't have a Ford CDSID, or if you prefer not to use yours, you can prove eligibility using a photocopy of your Ford paystub. Please cut off any financial info, and black out any confidential info. We just need to see your name, department, and pay date at the top. Mail it to GLOBE along with a copy of your registration info, and optional dues. You must be a Ford employee or retiree to use this method.

Dues and Voting

Annual dues of $20. U.S. are optional, payable as of July 1st of each year. Only members who have paid dues may vote in Ford GLOBE elections. Non-U.S. chapters will retain the dues payments of their members. Ford GLOBE members who do not belong to a local chapter will be designated as members-at-large, and their dues payments will accrue to the general treasury. Ford GLOBE and its chapters may not spend dues money on social events.

For U.S. chapters we accept checks mailed via the postal system, or online payments.

If you wish to pay online, click the button below and enter the total amount you wish to give. You will then get a chance to fill in your name and the purpose of the donation. For example, "John Q. Public, $20 dues + $10 donation." Payments are processed via PayPal, although you do not need a PayPal account. You can just pay by credit card.
